COTFG is a volunteer-run arts organization supporting creative expression in Austin, TX. Established in 2003 and originally based out of a space on Pedernales St. in east Austin, COTFG has presented hundreds of events to date, including featured concerts, workshops, and film screenings.

For the past 20 years, COTFG has consistently uplifted the community for the sake of art. From our humble beginnings in a small, previously-held church to site specific collaborations with spaces such as Tiny Park Gallery, MASS Gallery, The Blanton Museum, The Contemporary Austin, Rude Mechs Off Center, Crashbox, Ground Floor Theatre, Austin Public Libraries, Alamo Drafthouse, Cloud Tree Studios, Museum of Human Achievement and many others, we create opportunities for intersectional exchange of ideas in music and sound art.

COTFG enjoys collaborating with other local arts presenters and organizations, and our efforts are tuned to the support of Austin’s cultural arts landscape as a whole. In 2008 COTFG joined the Salvage Vanguard Theater family and was housed in the space on Manor road until 2016. We host events at mostly non-bar spaces within the city of Austin, Tx where a quiet listening environment and direct support of artists is encouraged. In 2024, we established our own 501(c)(3) status and are striving to continue our work in contributing to sustainability of the arts in East Austin.

Since inception, we have always aimed and succeeded at supporting at least 60% of marginalized communities within our total programming, showing up for the under served and providing a dynamic angle to Austin’s art scene.

We have received funding from the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division and Economic Development Departments for a portion of our programming over the years.
